PEARL JUBILEE - BIGGEST REUNION PHOTO CONTEST

Upload a photo of your batch reunion with maximum number of navodayans from your batch. The photo with max navodayans will be selected and will be rewarded during Pearl Jubilee Celebrations and will be featured in our Pearl Jubilee Souvenir: Birds of Paradise – 2. Additionally, selection criteria involves number of likes/shares in FB page as well.

Rules/Guidelines:

1) The picture should be taken for your batch reunion either at JNV Idukki or any place and should have the members of your batch. Do not send photos taken during school days.

2) If similar pictures are sent by different members of the batch then first entry will be taken into consideration.

3) To participate, send your photos with a caption either by email to jnvialumni@gmail.com or by Whatsapp - +91 8943712984. Don't forget to mention your Name, Roll number and batch number.

4) All the entries will be uploaded in JNVIAA's Facebook page.

5) The winner will be selected on the basis of number of members in the photo, number of likes and shares in Facebook. One like gives .2 point and a share gives 2 points. Each person in the photo fetches 10 points.

6) Last date for sending the entries is November 20. Likes and shares till December 20th will be considered for judgment.

7) Last but not the least - Decision of judges is final!

 JNV Idukki is more than just a school for its students and the community at large. It has played a vital role in providing quality education to the rural talented children of Idukki. As on 2016, the students of JNV Idukki have went on to become shining stars in all walks of life. JNV Idukki, the family we all share together, is celebrating its Pearl Jubilee - Thirty years of excellence in 2016.

 Taking inspiration from one of the best jubilee celebrations by any JNVs in the country, (the JNV Idukki Silver Jubilee Celebrations in 2012), the Alumni Association is taking lead for a grand celebration on 31st Dec 2016 & 1st Jan 2017 at the School premises.

 As part of the celebrations, the Alumni Association is publishing a souvenirBirds of Paradise - Volume 2 to capture the golden memories of the school by its alumni, students, teachers and other staff. The souvenir will be rich on literature value, will share golden memories, highlight inspirational achievements of fellow Navodayans and will provide guidance for the future generations. It will include articles of all hues and interests.

 The souvenir will be issued in 2500 copies and will be distributed to the families of the Navodaya community which has a very wide reach in the society.

 It is an opportunity to show case your talents! Acceptance of articles for the souvenir is a pride for the author!

 So…. What are you waiting for? Take your pens… Get going… Bring out the Shakespeare in you!

 Short stories, memories, poems, cartoons, paintings, articles on professions, career guidance, advertisements and anything similar with literature or nostalgic value.

JNV Idukki The Grand Reunion and 30 Year Celebration on Dec 31st

Hello Dear Friends!

Taking inspiration from the grand success of Silver Jubilee Celebrations in 2012, and further to several requests from our friends to conduct such events on a periodic basis, we plan to conduct Pearl Jubilee Celebration of our beloved school on 31st Dec 2016 and 1st Jan 2017. 

From our experience this sort of gathering helps us to reinforce ourselves among us and to the school. Individual batches may have their own periodic gathering, but this kind of mega gathering will help to bring all under one umbrella. Several consultations have been done and several tentative committees are formed to make it a great success. Almost similar to our SJC we intend to have two days program with cultural night, sports activities, teachers connect, meet the seniors, publication of souvenir etc. 

In connection with the event Alumni association would like to redesign the school auditorium stage and provide a junior science lab as well. Above all, we will keep up our social commitments… 
Request all of you to actively participate and volunteer.
